PORTRAITS

While still at art school James won a competition to paint his first portrait commission. Since then he has been commissioned to paint many portraits, both for individuals and for institutions. His work has been selected to hang in the National Portrait Gallery three times, as part of the BP Portrait Annual Competetion, and his portraits have been selected to be shown at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibitions. Commissions include a painting of the HRH The Princess Royal, a 3m painting of the cofounders of SOPHOS and a portrait of Dame Judy Dench as M, commissioned by the producers of the James Bond films.
